A Bold and Modern Exterior: The Stunning Color Palette for Our Wallingford Townhomes

The exterior painting phase is always an exciting milestone in any home build, and this project in Wallingford, Seattle, is no exception. It’s the moment when the design vision starts to come to life, adding personality and character to these modern townhomes.
For this project, we chose a bold and earthy exterior color palette that captures the balance of modern and timeless design. The primary color is Sherwin Williams Tarragon (SW 6436) — a rich, muted green that feels grounded and organic, perfectly complementing the natural surroundings of Wallingford.
To balance the boldness of Tarragon, we paired it with Sherwin Williams Constellation (SW 9579), a light neutral with subtle green undertones. This color softens the overall look while allowing the green to take center stage. It also creates a seamless connection between the townhomes and their environment, reinforcing the modern yet welcoming feel of the design — something many homeowners in Seattle love.
For a crisp, dramatic finish, we used Sherwin Williams Tricorn Black (SW 6258) on the accents. This deep black hue adds definition to the doors and architectural features, creating a striking contrast that makes the other colors pop. Tricorn Black is a favorite in modern home design for its versatility and timeless appeal.
As you can see in these progress photos, the colors are starting to transform the exterior of these Wallingford townhomes, and we’re thrilled with how it's coming together. Our goal was to create a look that feels fresh, inviting, and distinctive while still blending into the established neighborhood — and we think this modern color combination hits the mark.
